University Applications

Ursuline Sixth Form supports students through the entire university application process.

Applying to Oxbridge, Cambridge, Russell Group Universities and Medical School

Students wishing to apply to the prestigious universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Russell Group universities or to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary science, attend a weekly programme giving extensive advice and support during the application and interview process. All applicants to Oxbridge and medical school attend a mock interview with the Headteacher and / or other senior leaders

Oxbridge

The designated Oxbridge Co-ordinator identifies potential Oxbridge candidates from GCSE point scores. These students are then invited to attend weekly sessions, where they receive advice and guidance on the rigorous Oxbridge application process.

Medical School

For medical school applications, a programme is delivered by the Medical Co-ordinator. This includes talks from visiting speakers and visits to medical departments and practise for BMAT exams. In addition, Students wishing to pursue clinical careers such as Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Radiography or Physiotherapy are supported in their preparation with their applications by our Getting into Medicine Scheme led by staff from University Medical Schools, with support from clinicians and senior staff from the Science Faculty.
