Mission Statement

Ursuline Sixth Form -  Learning to live life to the full so that others can fully live.

As a Christian community, characterised by a spirit of respect, trust and joy, we promote excellence in every aspect of life, thereby fully developing each individual. Our school motto, ServiamI will serve, is at the heart of school life and encourages students to develop their gifts and talents for the benefit of others.

As part of a worldwide network of Ursuline schools, the Ursuline Sixth Form follows in the teaching of the spirit of St Angela Merici to develop young women as leaders and active members of the school and local community. The ethos of the Sixth Form encourages students to develop a respect forothers and to be kind, generous of spirit and show perseverance in all they do.

Chaplaincy encourages students to support a number of community projects and as part of this our Sixth Form students have the opportunity to live out Serviam and put their faith in to action through supporting these projects:

Volunteering with local charities: Operation Christmas Child, Mencap, Wimbledon Foodbank, Merton Faith in Action Homelessness

The Eucharistic Minister Programme

Assisting with the Confirmation Programme and helping to support younger students at school events

• Volunteering abroad with HCPT Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

• Perseid School- working with students with severe learning difficulties

• Silver Surfers- helping the elderly with Technical support

In addition, all students continue to develop their faith through a programme that includes inter-faith day, social action day and developing personal values in the wider community. The programme enables students to reflect critically and engage in discussion about religious belief and explore and respect different faiths within society.

In a community inspired by
the love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ
following in the footsteps of our foundress St Angela Merici
